Our seamless end-to-end platform connects to global crypto exchanges, custodians, and liquidity providers, via multiple APIs e.g. FIX, REST, websockets. Elwood provides market infrastructure at scale, enabling financial institutions, neobanks, and corporations to access digital asset markets quickly and efficiently. Job Description Elwood is seeking a Lead Engineer to join our Engineering Team in London where you will contribute to the development and analytical requirements of the Trading platform whilst working closely with the Product Team. As a Lead Engineer you must have a passion for technology, systems improvement, and coding techniques. You will require good leadership skills to help guide the team through the technical side of projects and mentor high-performing engineers where you will be responsible for:
developing and enhance our trading platform adding new features and capacities working as a member of the Elwood Engineering team to ensure consistency across the instances and broader client build road map building execution and algorithmic trading strategies creating new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang adding features that help customers collaborate on asset management working with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter monitoring and supporting all production system components (trading algorithms, exchange connectivity, analytics, market data)
Qualifications / Knowledge To be considered for this role you will have:
strong interpersonal skills; you value teamwork and collaboration and know when to let a team work through problems and when to jump in to help an advanced knowledge of computer science, including object-oriented programming, data structures and processing excellent programming skills and experience (Golang) site-reliability and observability concerns firmly embedded into your DNA experience in deploying and monitoring applications in a cloud environment, ideally GCP strong experience developing large-scale concurrent, event-driven distributed systems hands-on experience in algorithm design well-developed problem-solving skills an understanding of how the components of tech infrastructures are used to build complex systems a working knowledge of the FIX protocol an understanding of crypto markets and products (desirable)
