Web3 Manager, Royalty Accounting (Remote)

What you will do at RECUR:

• The small stuff: Create, maintain and improve royalties accounting processes with a high attention to detail, assist with completeness and accuracy testing for royalties accounting and other ad hoc royalties projects vs internal platform
• The medium stuff: Coordinate with teams to ensure that deal terms are in place and properly accounted for within the royalty tracking systems, partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that the company has the appropriate processes and procedures in place for timely payment and reporting required under executed royalty deals, manage the tracking of contractual advances and recoupments, and ensure they are paid in accordance with existing contracts, provide detailed royalty analysis to support finance, senior management, and other business partners.
• The big stuff: Participate in royalty contract review and analysis from a financial and business operations perspective as well as day to day contract management, Assist in managing the financial statement close process, including but not limited to preparation of month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and royalty analytics

What you bring to RECUR:

• 5+ years of progressively responsible royalties experience
• Bachelor’s in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or related discipline
• Public accounting and/or CPA preferred
• Excellent analytical and organization skills
• A team player who is able to work collaboratively within the group as well as across business functions
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels at the company
• Sage Intacct, or a similar ERP

Who you are:

• Champion; Proven ability to own and operate royalties accounting using industry-specific systems
• Process-oriented; You build processes that anticipate mistakes and produce detailed process documentation, ability to read/write SQL queries is a big plus
• EXCEPTIONAL communication skills; you can succinctly relay what happened and why to a lay audience

Nice to haves:

• Experience in a rapidly-scaling startup environment
