About the role

The New Ventures tax specialist understands the crypto tax inside out. This role is responsible for navigating the complexities of crypto tax cross jurisdictions and providing recommendations to our customers on how to file their crypto tax returns in their home countries. The New Ventures tax specialist will work on ventures projects, i.e., projects that are adjacent to our core businesses and are bootstrapped fast with a lean team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into crypto tax topics independently or/and with third-party
• Keep abreast of rules and regulations on crypto tax across different jurisdictions and understand their implications on the company and our customers
• Understand the role of crypto tax in the process of tax filing in different countries
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to help the company and our customers navigate the world of crypto tax
• Work closely with engineers and product managers in the process of product developments.
• Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements

• B.S. or B.A. in accounting, finance, economics, business required; advanced degrees, including CPA a plus
• Ideally 3+ years professional work experience in accounting and/or tax; crypto tax experience a plus; international tax exposure a plus
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling experience
• Excellent analytical, project management, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Extremely detail oriented with an ability to multitask in a high growth environment
• Passionate about start-ups and the growth of digital assets
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Good to have crypto tax knowledge
