About the team:
Here at Luno, the purpose of the People Communications & Culture team is to ensure that all Lunauts feel part of and participate in our global community as they put the power of crypto in everyone’s hands. The team is responsible for Luno’s global workplaces, people experience, internal events, employer brand and internal communications.
The role in a nutshell:
- You will report into Luno’s Head of People Communications & Culture, meet Sophie Hinder-Walbank. You will sit in the People Communications & Culture team, which forms part of the wider People function at Luno.
- Your role will be focused on designing and delivering our global internal events calendar, people experience, and workplace environment strategy.
- As our People Experience Lead, you will look after Lunauts within our remote/ in person offices to create a workplace that increases individual wellbeing, a sense of belonging, and organizational effectiveness.
Your mission will be:
- Event management: Responsible for delivering the highlight of our annual event calendar - Luno’s end of year Summit - as well as various events throughout the year to align Lunauts around our mission and purpose, including AMAs and mid-year events.
- Create a positive work environment through moments that matter: In keeping with our remote but reachable approach, you will drive our local social and community (ERG) events calendar for all regions, with on-site support from our Lunaut volunteers to plan and deliver fun times and feel good vibes!
- Identify and meet experiential needs: You’ll be responsible for making sure our Lunauts feel loved on a daily basis, from the mundane to the big milestones, including our remote lunch perks to much-needed care packages.
- Regional communications & engagement: Maintain relevant and engaging office communication channels across the globe, including remote (slack channels) and in person (digital signage, posters etc).
- Maximising the workplace experience: Working closely with the Facilities Lead and People Operations team, you will collaborate to design our (remote and in person) workplace experience to drive better outcomes for Lunauts and the business — from employee engagement and productivity to talent retention and lower real estate costs.
- Guardian of the Lunaut experience: Managing the people experience via our company calendar: you will be responsible for ensuring that company wide activities impacting our Lunauts (People activity, and financial and business planning milestones) are well coordinated, recorded and creatively communicated to the relevant audiences.
- Support facilities management: Ability to deputise for our Facilities Lead when necessary, including building operations, financial management and supporting our compliance/ risk culture at Luno.
A little about you:
- 7+ years of proven expertise as a people experience and events professional, with a particular interest in the exciting fintech industry
- Ability to prioritise and thrive in a fast-paced environment, ideally with experience working in a growing scale up business. You embrace change and can work with stakeholders across our global office and remote workforce.
- Excellent calendar and event management skills, with the ability to support the planning and delivery of multiple internal events.
- An interest in developing a data-driven approach to our workplace environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of both written and verbal English proficiency.
- Ability to apply critical and creative thinking to create an engaging and impactful experience that conveys our employer brand, Moontality and mission, recognising there is no “one size fits all” approach for our various internal audiences.
