We are looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager to lead our communications strategy for the APAC market. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in regional media and crypto ecosystem, strong storytelling abilities, and a talent for building both internal and external relationships. This role requires a dynamic professional capable of crafting compelling narratives, nurturing strong media partnerships, and effectively navigating the fast-paced and rapidly evolving crypto landscape.
Requirements
- Strategic Planning and Execution. Lead the PR strategy for the APAC market, aligning it with regional market strategies and overall company goals. Manage PR agencies and develop and implement internal and external communications plans.
- Media Relations. Build and maintain strong relationships with regional media, KOLs, and key stakeholders. Oversee regional speaking programs, liaise with external teams, manage media inquiries, and proactively drive positive coverage while monitoring industry trends.
- Content Creation. Develop and manage the editorial calendar for the regional market, creating high-quality content. Lead major announcements, craft press releases, messaging documents, and FAQs, delivering thought leadership pieces and anticipating industry news and trends.
- Integrated Marketing and Localization. Work closely with the regional marketing and community teams to create integrated communications plans and design localized stories and cross-channel campaigns.
- Crisis Management. Handle crisis communications effectively, including regulatory issues, by collaborating with internal stakeholders and the leadership team for rapid decision-making to protect the company’s reputation.
- Day-to-day Management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly plans and reports. Oversee PR-related budgets with a focus on efficient resource allocation and regular performance assessments to optimize ROI.
Requirements
- Fluency in English is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders. Additional languages would be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- At least 10 years of experience in both in-house PR and agency roles.
- Degree or major in PR, Communications, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of APAC media landscape, communication ecosystem, marketing characteristics, and nuances.
- Interest and foundational knowledge in the cryptocurrency/blockchain industry.
- Skilled in crafting high-quality content; sensitive to market trends with a proactive approach to storytelling.
- Exceptional project and time management skills; capable of prioritizing and delivering under pressure.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; high attention to details.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with an open-minded approach.
- Able to thrive in a global and large-scale corporate environment; experienced in working with diverse, international teams.
Nice to have
- Proven experience in handling PR and communications for high-growth or regulated industries, such as crypto, fintech, or technology industries.
- Familiarity with Binance products and ecosystem or experience in cryptocurrency investments.
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills, with experience in working across different markets within APAC.
- Experience with media tracking tools and platforms, such as Cision, and social media analytics tools (e.g. Meltwater)
