PolySign, Inc. currently is searching for a full-time (40 hours/week) Principal HSM Engineer, 1300 Clay Street, Suite 600, Oakland, CA 94612

Job Description:

Contribute to the design and architecture of new and existing cryptographic software modules that will be deployed on Linux and interfaced with Hardware Security Module (HSM) to securely store cryptographic keys using programming languages like C, C++, Python and Java. Build prototypes of cryptographic software modules that will be deployed on Linux and interfaced with Hardware Security Module (HSM) to securely store cryptographic keys for the PolySign digital custodian. Develop software modules that will be deployed on Linux and interfaced with Hardware Security Module (HSM) to securely store cryptographic keys for the PolySign digital custodian including the user of TLS to communicate with the HSM devices from the PolySign micro-services running in the cloud. Create payload code and create testing code for that payload code to ensure that it works in three distinct categories: unit tests, integration tests, and system tests. Develop and test proprietary software, with Security, Python, enterprise software, Cloud services, C, C++, and Bash. Write developer documentation and reference implementations and other educational content. Design, architect, and build the PolySign back end, with a focus on quality, security, high availability, performance, and compliance. Assist with code review, documentation, DevOps, and testing of the front end. Use tools like CMake, make, GCC, git, gdb, Jenkins and valgrind on Linux Operating system. Utilize software development experience in Crypto to contribute to the internal Infrastructure Product that is used to develop, deploy, and operate software services. Test and verify platform and integrated technologies before production release, identify performance bottlenecks and anomalous system behavior, and analyze root causes of incidents leveraging Agile/Scrum, GitHub, Jenkins, and Jira.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in the job offered or related;
  • Experience with continuous integration setup using Hudson/Build bot; Voltage SecureData Simple API; disk encryption on Linux using dm-crypt; Voltage SecureData integration with Greenplum database; and Thales/Atalla Hardware Security Module (HSM).
