Ripple is hiring a Web3 Senior Accountant, Compensation & Equity
Compensation: $72k - $77k estimated

We are looking for a collaborative and critical thinking individual to join our growing accounting team at Ripple. The Senior Accountant - Compensation and Equity will be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of our Payroll and Equity accounts.This is a great opportunity for an individual that enjoys improving and building processes, being in the details and welcomes challenges.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong accounting background and experience navigating through complex equity plans, such as RSUs and Stock options. You will also play a pivotal role in the global payroll process. In addition, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You should also have excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills. Additionally, you should have a genuine interest in the blockchain industry and understanding of the ecosystem.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own all Payroll and Equity aspects of the monthly financial close process in collaboration with other General Ledger team members
- Record journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations for Company’s payroll and equity-related accounts
- Prepare monthly and quarterly equity and payroll expense workpapers
- Work closely with external auditors on regulated and consolidated audits
- Collaborate with Payroll, Equity, FP&A, Tax, Legal and other cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs
- Comply with SOX requirements while performing the above tasks and participate in documentation and roll-out of new SOX compliant processes
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager on ad-hoc projects primarily focused on streamlining processes while maintaining financial statement accuracy
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred)
- Minimum of 5+ years in the field of Accounting or equivalent (public accounting experience is a plus)
- CPA preferred
- Comprehensive and current understanding of ASC 718
- Prior working knowledge of Equity and Payroll Administration
- Familiarity of standard payroll reports as well as previous payroll experience
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems (Intacct and/or mid-tier accounting systems is a plus)
- Collaborative approach to working on projectswith a team that values diverse perspectives
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and self-driven initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
