About the Role

We are looking for a driven, customer service oriented, roll up your sleeves type of leader who is eager to to drive innovation at the intersection of blockchain technology and financial services. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our Broker Dealer/Alternative Trading System operations team. The right individual will apply strong analytical skills and expertise in brokerage, trading, and market operations, and will create operational processes to ensure that the organization supports the highest standards for customer service, compliance adherence, and mitigation of operational risk.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the day to day workforce management of the broker dealer operations team and focus on delivering industry leading service
  • Proactive oversight of platform operations: business flows and transaction processing, ensure proper and timely resolution of exceptions, post trade date corrections and inquiries
  • Anticipate challenges and implement solutions in order to manage the expectations of internal business partners for a seamless and positive client experience
  • Identify operational weaknesses: evaluate process flows relative to the business, highlight inefficiencies and implement both short and long term solutions
  • Drive automation and process re-engineering initiatives to improve quality and productivity
  • Foster a risk prevention culture: Stay abreast of newly implemented regulatory requirements and manage changes to business rules, technology enhancements, or processes
  • Partner with business, operations and technology colleagues for timely delivery of projects within scope & budget

What We Look For

  • BA/BS from an accredited university preferred
  • An experienced leader who fosters a value-based culture, with respectful interactions, behaviors, and attitudes.
  • 8+ years' experience in Broker Dealer and Trading operations
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of industry standard back office functionality, tools, technology, processes, and controls
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and adapt to changing business priorities and/or capacity
  • Ability to spot weaknesses in process performance and compliance, and the knowledge to offer thoughtful and practical solutions
  • Excellent problem solver and critical thinker with exceptional analytical skills to gain and synthesize insights, and develop solutions
  • Ability to think strategically and design, articulate and execute a strategic plan
  • Strong resilience when working in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of key compliance rules and requirements for a broker-dealer
  • Positive attitude with excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 preferred
