Web3 Sr. Video Manager

OKEx is on a mission to make crypto investing and trading more accessible to anyone around the world. We are building the next generation of tools to help onboard the investors and traders who have been on the fence about crypto.We are a collective of engineers, product managers, and marketers with a common passion to help decentralize finance and level the economic playing field for everyone around the world.

What we’re looking for:

We’re growing the global content team at one of the top exchanges in crypto. This role requires seasoned video storytelling skills, including production and editing, as well as the desire to push the boundary of what is generally considered corporate content.

Reporting to the Head of Content, this role involves leading in-house video production, collaborating with both in-house and freelance specialists, and managing the company's official YouTube channel.

The successful candidate will lead strategy for and organize implementation of all OKEx video, growing our YouTube presence with high quality and professional video content.

They will both work hands-on to edit and produce video as needed, as well as create a plan/budget covering all video needs.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with editorial content team to develop video content plan/calendar that aligns with the larger content strategy.
• Communicate with creative, marketing and product teams as needed.
• Create/direct/produce a variety of video content types with in-house and/or freelance teams
• Focus on educational content, the majority of which will involve:
• 1) fully animated sequences (oversee the creation of non-branded animated educational series with a particular, original aesthetic)
• 2) product tutorials (screen capture video of our products)
• 3) Zoom interviews / podcast
• In-person shoots are possible, but will be more rare. You may be asked to travel for shoots, direct remotely and/or collaborate with a remote film crew and edit footage for any in-person shoots.
• Keep up with global crypto/blockchain related news to stay on top of topics/trends
• Manage and grow company YouTube channel with original video content

What we’re looking for:

• Language skills:fluent spoken and written English
• Technical Skills:videography, video editing (Final Cut, Adobe Premier, etc), audio editing
• Soft skills:managing a team, speaking and communication, collaborating across teams, working in a fast-paced environment under deadlines, thinking critically, creative problem solving
• Previous companies:professional film/video production experience, freelance, agency or in-house
• Portfolio: must include a link to portfolio
