Web3 Trade Operations Lead – Lending & Structured Products

We are looking for Trade Operations Lead to join and lead our growing Lending FinOps team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead the Trade Operations lending team at one of the most valuable crypto exchanges in the world
• Supervise daily operations and duties of the team which include review of loan term sheets, execution of trade settlements, loan interest/fees, tracking outstanding settlements, monitoring margin thresholds, tracking daily profit or loss including staking and rewards, intercompany money movements and other similar/related tasks within the institutional business
• Support the credit team’s ad hoc requests from negotiation of new deals through settlement and servicing. Working collaboratively with the credit team to address questions from clients/counter parties
• Develop new processes and procedures to optimize finance and business operations
• Track pipeline deals and forecasting liquidity needs of the business
• Monitor and manage the lending book and entries booked into software system
• Liaise directly with the software provider to drive automation and efficiency for daily tasks.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reconciliations to aid decision making
• Communicate directly with market makers and high-value clients to resolve balance and payment inquiries in a timely manner
• Provide operational support to other functions including Tax, Legal, Account Management, Compliance, Accounting, General Financial Operations and Markets teams
• Work with senior staff to identify financial risks and communicate these to management
• Take ownership of internal and external inquiries and provide fast and professional resolution

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Background in finance, economics, accounting, or any other quantitative field
• 5+ years operations experience (finance industry experience preferred - ideally from within a banking background, big 4 consulting, major financial institution or a fund)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse work environment with great follow through on tasks
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds
• Demonstrate diplomacy and responsiveness in interactions with others
• Ownership mindset with an innate drive to want to improve existing procedures, and a willingness to go the extra mile for the benefit of the team
• Strong financial, analytical and modeling skills preferred
• Experience with accounting close process or blockchain technology or mining a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A deep interest or desire to learn about cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies
