We are looking for a Crypto News Journalist to join our Japan team and to cover breaking news quickly and cleanly.

What you’ll do:

• Produce well-written, clean, and concise news copy on the most recent/breaking topics.
• Use reliable and verified sources to create high-quality, engaging, shareable content.
• Perform other tasks approved by the parties additionally.
• Meet deadlines and function professionally under deadline pressure.
• Terminology research, including extraction of terminology from texts and use of term base.
• Boil down complex and verbose concepts and definitions into short, simple and digestible ideas.
• Ensure grammar, and language consistency.
• Edit and proofread creative work before shipping/releasing.
• Research the latest trends in cryptocurrency in your country.
• Be available Monday-Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm Japan Time.

It’s a perfect match if you have:

• Japanese as your native language.
• Fluent English.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Business or related major.
• Creative and innovative mind in the daily work and deliveries.
• Strong ability to develop sources, use records and data, break news, and write with skill and insight.
• Strong ability to generate ideas and a familiarity with storytelling techniques.
• Passion for social media and involvement in the crypto channels.
• Knowledge of the crypto markets.
• Keen interest in DeFi, NFTs, NFT Art, and Metaverse gaming.
• Willingness to engage their audience by creating original content.
• Self-motivation, proactivity, and ambitions.
• Demonstrable content of crypto news production previously published (for us it is important to know you, so a good portfolio is key).
