Job Overview:
The HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting CleanSpark’s growing workforce by managing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with multi-state employment laws, and driving key HR initiatives across multiple locations. This role provides hands-on support for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance training, and engagement initiatives while maintaining accurate records and HR reporting. The HR Generalist will act as a trusted partner to employees and managers, helping to build a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee lifecycle activities including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee and supervisor inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
- Administer HRIS data entry and reporting, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee information, benefits enrollment, and performance records.
- Partner with hiring managers to support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer preparation.
- Coordinate and conduct onboarding activities, including orientation and integration support for new hires.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws; assist in developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies and procedures.
- Manage compliance-related training programs, such as harassment prevention, safety, and cybersecurity.
- Generate HR metrics and reports (e.g., turnover, headcount, compliance tracking) and provide data-driven insights to support workforce planning.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company culture activities.
- Assist in employee relations cases and performance management processes by preparing documentation and coordinating with HR leadership.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and support company growth.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws; experience ensuring compliance across multiple states strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).
- Experience in construction, engineering, technology, or energy/mining industries.
- Familiarity with Paylocity (CleanSpark’s HRIS) or similar systems.
- Experience with HR reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
$65,000 - $75,000 a year
This position may involve duties that require operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites. As such, candidates must be insurable under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy.
