About Fuel
Fuel is building a high-performance blockchain operating system that provides high throughput without sacrificing decentralization or security. Our project is a full-stack solution that lets anyone deploy a Fuel chain using any configuration they would like (Rollup on Ethereum, Sovereign chain, Appchain, etc.). Currently, our focus is to launch an Ethereum rollup to help scale Ethereum beyond its current capacity.
Working at Fuel
Fuel is remote first and globally distributed, with English as our primary language for communication. We are looking for self-starters who are excited about working in a fast-paced startup environment. We do not require contributors to live in specific time zones, but much of the team lives and works in the European and US time zones. Contributors should expect to make themselves available as needed for scheduled team and company events.
The Role
We’re looking for a (Jr.) People Partner to support the next stage of scale for Fuel Labs. We’re approaching a super exciting time and we are focused on growing the team while maintaining our culture and creating the best possible experience for all our contributors.
The ideal candidate is naturally attracted to Web3 due to its potential impact on improving our societies; has a background in (distributed) tech companies and is able to juggle a number of different priorities while keeping things impeccably organized.
If you are fearless in trying new things and challenge the status quo - but also know when to disagree and commit, then we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Create new Contracts
- Onboard and welcome new contributors
- Manage tools access
- Manage welcome packages and celebrations for life events
- Manage Slack channels and maintaineance (quarterly cleanup, new channels, group tags, invites etc)
- Updating/improving Handbook
- Supporting internal events, on and offline (research venues, talk with vendors, complete payments)
- Research and support internal L&D programs
- Be first line of contact for contributors questions, escalate when needed
- Coordinate surveys and feedback cycles
- Spreading good vibes
- Championing a culture of freedom, responsibility and excellence
Requirements
- Previous experience or exposure to deeply technical teams and quickly scaling startups.
- A genuine affinity with Web3, at an ideological rather than purely financial level. Previous experience with a Web3 project is a plus but not a must.
- A non-traditional background in Tech, Product or Support, rather than HR, would be an advantage.
- Sound judgment and ability to protect confidentiality.
- Experience with hiring, onboarding and offboarding.
- Extremely accurate, particularly with documents and data.
- Tech savvy - knows how to use hot/cold wallets, automates workflows rather than repeating manual processes.
- Security aware - knows best practices and can explain basics to others. Recognises risks and knows when to escalate.
- Excellent communication skills in sync and async settings.
- Used to work remotely, with solid focus and routines.
- Respectful, emphatic, team player.
