Genesis Global Trading is seeking a candidate to help lead and build our direct-to-client market making business in spot crypto markets. In this business, Genesis uses quantitative models to provide automated tradable quotes to our clients. We provide value to our clients by offering them liquidity, or a place to trade, at prices better than those in public markets, and with less complexity. The business aims to earn a spread between the price we provide to a client and the exit price of the resulting position. The exit price can be achieved with an opposite trade with another direct client later in time, a trade with an opposite Genesis position, or a trade in public markets. If in aggregate the spread capture trades is positive, the business is profitable.
Responsibilities
- Present our value proposition to clients, typically along with our sales team.
- Provide our sales team with product knowledge, materials, and metrics to help them give strong introductions to this offering.
- Own key deliverables for complex onboardings of large clients.
- Continuously review and evaluate metrics of quote and trade quality as well as PnL for individual clients and the business overall, raising concerns to the rest of the client market making team as needed.
- Liaise with clients to address questions and optimize order flow. Partner with clients and your teammates to find mutually agreeable solutions.
- Provide regular product updates to clients, such as notification of new tradable assets.
- Lead design and implementation of client-facing marketing materials. This will include both generic collateral to enable the wider sales force as well as client specific TCA and bespoke recommendations.,.
- Report regularly to management on business needs, challenges, and successes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working directly with clients in financial services.
- 2-6 years of experience working in financial markets. Experience with client market making is a big plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business or quantitative discipline.
- Working knowledge of a scripting language such as Python or VBA.
- Experience working with data and data tools, such as SQL, Tableau, and Excel.
- Demonstrated interest in the digital asset space
- Team player with strong pride of ownership
