About The Role
As Chief of Staff, you will work directly with the CEO (Matt) in a fast-paced and rapidly growing startup. Day-to-day responsibilities are dynamic, but you can expect to drive strategic ad hoc initiatives and serve as a liason for the CEO to the rest of the company.
As you think about your own career, this role will be an excellent opportunity to understand the life of a Founder/CEO of a high growth, venture-backed startup. To the right candidate, this may even be a potential pipeline for senior operational roles at Hang.
What You’ll Do
- Shadow the CEO, serving as both a right hand and stand-in to channel the CEO’s voice when he can not be there.
- Work across all company functions (product, sales, operations, marketing, finance) to ensure key projects are on track.
- Engage with our investors and our board.
- Build out processes across the company as we scale from 15 to 50, and beyond.
- Handle special projects and ad hoc incoming requests.
- Build out and track key metrics, goals, and objectives that provide a pulse for the health of the organization.
- NOT be an Executive Assistant :), we already have one in place.
- You have 3+ years of professional experience working in consulting, finance, operations, or in a prior Chief of Staff position.
- You are able to communicate ideas clearly (via presentations, emails, calls, etc.).
- You think in a structured, framework-driven manner.
- You consistently follow through on any task you are handed.
- You have experience navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
- You possess a bias towards action.
- You have an MBA or similar advanced degree.
- You have worked closely with C-Suite executives in the past.
