Are you an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong background in backend development, infrastructure management, and DevOps practices? Do you enjoy managing clusters, building microservices, and taking ownership of projects? Are you interested in a role where you can write code, review peers' work on GitHub, research new technologies, and contribute to internal specifications or documentation? If you answered yes to these questions, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you!
Role Overview:
- Backend Development: Collaborate with the development team to architect and build robust backend services using your expertise in Golang.
- Kubernetes Management: Handle Kubernetes configurations and clusters, including deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications, to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the microservices ecosystem.
- Infrastructure Automation: Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort.
- Monitoring and Incident Response: Set up monitoring and alerting systems, proactively monitor system performance and respond to incidents promptly to maintain high availability and performance.
- Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning exercises to ensure that the infrastructure is adequately provisioned to handle current and future demand.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, document processes, and best practices, and share knowledge to enable seamless operations.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Golang with a strong understanding of building scalable and maintainable backend services.
- Expertise in managing Kubernetes configurations and clusters, including deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure management, including cloud platforms, configuration management, and networking principles, and familiarity with DevOps practices, automation, and monitoring.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

$179,000 - $200,000 a year
