If you thrive in digital marketing and are motivated by the opportunity to disrupt the way financial services are transacted then this key role is for you. The Provenance Blockchain Foundation is searching for a marketing and communication lead to create content, drive our presence across all channels, and interact with the community on social media.
As the marketing and communications lead for the Provenance Blockchain Foundation, you will act as a partner and resource for the Executive Director of the Foundation, providing thought leadership on content, community activation, communications, managing events, building relationships in the developer community, and creating a 360-degree marketing plan to drive awareness for and adoption of the technology. You are a self-starter with deep experience in all aspects of digital marketing and familiarity with blockchain and crypto.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Execute marketing initiatives and events to foster and grow community across our main audiences - Developers, Financial Institutions, Investors and the overall Blockchain community
- Work with the Executive Director to set the tone and be the voice for our community and develop the content,cadence and engagement strategy on Twitter, Discord, and other key Social Media outlets
- Amplify our external ecosystem efforts and adoption including key developer, institutional and other partnerships (e.g., coordinate event engagement, interview external partner thought leaders for posts, briefings)
- Create strategies for gathering community feedback to help inform future development decisions, features, adoption, etc.
- Work with internal and agency partners to develop a results-oriented media relations strategy, creating highly engaging product story pitches and seeking placements in top-tier online, print, and broadcast media
- Implement email marketing campaigns to engage with the community, provide product updates and thought leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with blockchain and Defi influencers, press, and partners to drive positive awareness and earned media coverage
- Create relevant content to communicate the Provenance Blockchain’s core value proposition, marketing to developers, financial institutions, fintechs, investors and crypto enthusiasts
- Drive agency relationships and success based on key KPIs for the platform
- Collaborate with validators to issue joint content and communications
What You Bring
- 3-5 years experience leading marketing and comms execution for highly technical products in the software, blockchain or Defi/financial services area
- Experience with early-stage startups and building marketing strategies from scratch
- Proven track record of driving business outcomes
- Experience leveraging community to achieve marketing and growth objectives
- Expertise in performance marketing and data analysis for campaign optimization
- Experience with event marketing and experience design
- Highly collaborative
- Autonomous with a bias for action
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
