Why this role exists...
- To deliver the first ever wearable crypto wallet to market.
- In addition, own all the ancillary projects within the Proxy hardware portfolio, including integration points with the software applications we develop.
And so…
- You will lead end-to-end hardware development efforts, navigating the complexities of coordinating and scaling manufacturing processes;
- Work with our CEO and CTO to define, negotiate and document key objectives, timelines, priorities and success criteria for what we plan to build and deliver to the market;
- Take those conversations and map out plan and timeline for cross-functional initiatives -- this includes pro-actively identifying and managing dependencies and risks;
- You’ll negotiate timelines realistically, but also aggressively against a predetermined budget. We are a startup and anywhere you can trim time to market or negotiate more favorable terms are essential;
- Therefore effective communication and strong relationships across internal stakeholders, as well as vendors, manufacturers and services providers are paramount to achieving success;
- You’ll use a strong voice to push the team when we’re at risk of missing milestones, speak up when something doesn’t look right, and be opinionated on how
- Lastly, you’ll be relentless in your pursuit of operational efficiency, continuously evaluating the NPI process and working with the team to improve any shortcomings.
Requirements.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience managing hardware product development
- Proven success taking hardware designs from concept to prototyping to volume production

- You have stellar verbal and written communication skills and an uncanny ability to lead and influence others
- Familiarity with managing software applications is desirable

- You show fiscal responsibility in your approach to manufacturing and product development
The opportunity
- You’ll get satisfaction holding the very thing you’ve worked so hard to create
- You’ll get to work with a small, nimble hardware team inventing new products
- You’ll be in building mode for the foreseeable future vs. maintenance mode
