We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead Treasury strategy and operations at RECUR. This role will be the first hire within the Treasury team and will directly report to the VP of Finance. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of Treasury operations, especially liquidity management and investments in both fiat and crypto.
The candidate will be a thought leader on Treasury, risk management and control issues as we rapidly scale and should be adept at interfacing with multiple internal and external stakeholders. The role will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to define and build world class automated processes that support RECUR’s internal balance sheet operations. You will be expected to provide data-driven insights that help drive cash and crypto funding decisions critical to operate RECUR’s highly anticipated NFT marketplace.
Ideally, the candidate will have first hand experience managing Treasury within the crypto industry and/or will be intimately familiar with market dynamics of major cryptocurrencies and concepts like staking.
What you will do at RECUR:
- Set up cash and liquidity management operations, including for cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
- Implement best practices and automation of key Treasury processes; work with key stakeholders in instituting process improvements.
- Work with the Engineering teams to determine appropriate digital wallet setup and digital assets flows.
- Manage funding flow of cryptocurrencies and digital assets between hot and cold wallets.
- Implement and own processes to ensure cryptocurrency liquidity and inventory needs for NFT operations, including forecast for maintaining adequate reserves for blockchain gas fees.
- Develop, update and monitor Treasury operational policies; establish and manage compliance and controls for Treasury operations and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance team to forecast cash needs and maintain an up-to-date view on cash burn rate.
- Devise and execute cash yield management strategy for idle stablecoin and other cryptocurrency assets on the balance sheet.
- Serve as POC for various external banking and financial institution partners.
What you bring to RECUR:
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
- 5-7+ years of relevant finance experience with at least 2-3+ years of progressive corporate treasury experience with high volume / active cash management function.
- Knowledge and full understanding of treasury systems, funding process flows, as well as crypto wallets, and ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies and controls to address them
- Ability to interact, influence and build relationships across all functions within an organization.
- Familiarity with market dynamics of major cryptocurrencies and L1/L2 blockchains
