POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Financial Accountant, you will assist in the running of the accounting and financial activities of an organization. You will be involved in financial reporting for management, and authorities, tax form submissions, analyzing the economic stability of the company, and providing financial information to the team, enabling them to make financial and strategical decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Budgeting & Planning: prepare a meaningful analysis (internal and external) for strategic business decisions and model financial situations
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Submit tax reports in Estonia or work with local tax authorities across the world
• Ensure all accounting transactions are properly recorded, including cryptocurrency transactions-staking rewards and cryptocurrency balances
• Develop and lead the process of automating data collection across various blockchains
• Assist in ensuring internal controls and compliance processes are in place and operating effectively
• Establish and track core metrics that are essential to the financial health of the company
• Calculate and forecast burn and runway, and accurately present current future cash position in real-time
• Work directly with external auditors and provide supporting documentation as needed
• Perform ad hoc projects and reporting as needed by executive management
• Profit and loss statement, and balance sheet validation

REQUIREMENTS

• Cryptocurrency accounting experience
• Expert using Excel, able to work with a large quantity of data to dissect and analyze
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

BACKGROUND

• Preferably qualified with Big 4 Accounting firms
• Relevant higher education
• Remote work experience
• Experience in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
• Audit experience preferred
• Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) are a plus but not required
