General Summary:
Super Crypto Kids is an early-stage start-up building a SaaS platform to bring financial literacy to the next generation. We are looking for a co-founder/CTO to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in software systems engineering and design relevant to the development of virtual world platforms. This can include experience in software development for games, simulations, or other multimodal platforms. You’ll be joining the team on day one and taking the project from concept to live ops.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
The Co-Founder/CTO will be responsible for the overarching product direction at a strategic level as part of the leadership team. Lead the technical vision for the company and translate the vision into the technology/product roadmap while taking into consideration long-term scaling. Build or integrate platforms that appropriately balance the need for speed-to-market, scalability, and stability.

The CTO will also manage the day-to-day technology execution through the direct leadership of the engineering team. Support engineering hiring process and ongoing talent development. Provide hands-on technical leadership to the engineering team; and ensure consistent best practices, processes, and procedures for software development and quality assurance. Engage with investors and advisors as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Education: B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or related work experience

Experience:
• Strong technical credentials, with 5+ years of technical engineering, including proven software deliverables
• Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
• Highly proficient in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design
• Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations
• Experience with real-time 3D virtual environments a plus
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and programming in C#, C++, and/or Java
• Experience in Unreal Engine or Unity/C#
• Solid coding practices, including design, unit testing, and peer code-reviews
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent relationship-building skills - build rapport, respect & trust with the team
• Experience mentoring engineering team a plus
