As we want to grow geographically, we are looking to enhance our team with an Executive Director in the UAE to build and grow our presence in the Middle East region.

Tasks

• The newly created position of the Executive Director UAE will be the main driver to grow Sygnum’s presence in the Middle East region and ultimately act as the person in charge of the local Sygnum office and its P&L.
• In a first phase, responsibilities include regulatory license application, setting up office infrastruture, local stakeholder management, building up of sales activities and the respective teams.
• Work with the Clients and Business Units teams in Switzerland to build, maintain and close a strong pipeline of clients across our target segments
• Collaborate closely with the client and product teams to share valuable feedback (based on your conversations with prospects) to improve product roadmap as well as client experience.
• We are looking for someone who is willing to roll up his/ her sleeves and is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Requirements

• You have an entrepreneurial mindest and can drive things independently.
• You have already proven in another occasion that you can build up a team around you, which involves activities such as recruiting and mentoring.
• You can manage and grow your own (country) P&L.
• You have experience in the financial services industry, be it a bank, asset manager or crypto related function. Ideally, you are also familiar with the local regulatory framework in the UAE
• You have a passion for digital assets.
• You embrace ambiguity and a fast pace of how things change.
• You represent Sygnum and its values at all times.
