With our latest launch of the V3 Telcoin Platform, we are planning and building multiple applications utilizing the power of decentralized finance that will improve lives around the world. Our main product is remittances, and we have a mobile application for sending money around the world.

Job Description

The Application Security Engineer will be responsible for integrating security into the development of applications.

Role Responsibilities

• Work closely with Telcoin's Product and Software development teams to threat model, vulnerability scan, and penetration test the early software, system and architecture while identifying the required control points in the application stack.
• Work closely with developers to diagnose, document and remediate security vulnerabilities. The engineer will also be responsible for evaluating, recommending and implementing security related software on the system development life cycle.
• Lead and train developers in secure best practices.

About You

• 5+ years of Development experience
• Computer science degree required
• Proficient in C/C++ and/or Rust (preferred not required)
• Organized, responsive problem solver
• Strong understanding of application security frameworks
• Previous knowledge of OWASP Top 10 & ASVS
• Understanding of Security Code Reviews
• Strong Self-started able to operate independently
• Leadership experience
• Excellent oral/written presentation skills with the ability to teach and communicate effectively to developers and leadership
• Understanding Continuous Integrations / Testing / Delivery
