Job Specification:
Job Title: Chief Financial Officer – Telcoin Europe UABLocation: Vilnius, LithuaniaReporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Company Overview: Telcoin Europe UAB was established in 2022 and is a subsidiary of Telcoin Holdings Pte Ltd a leading cryptocurrency and financial services provider. Telcoin Europe provides cryptocurrency exchange services via our mobile application, servicing customers across the EU and EEA. Our mission is to deliver a seamless and secure platform for cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring that our users can manage their digital assets with ease. We are currently in the process of applying for our license under the Mica licensing regime and are looking to establish a local office in Vilnius.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented and hands-on Chief Financial Officer to oversee and manage all financial operations within the organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will also manage the transition of accounting functions from an external bookkeeping firm to an internal department, providing oversight for payroll and taxes, and leading the annual financial statement audit process. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work effectively in a self-directed environment. Key Responsibilities:
Oversight and Processing of Payroll:
Oversee the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees. Ensure compliance with local payroll tax laws and regulations. Manage payroll-related reporting, including tax filings and deductions.
Local Tax Monitoring and Payments:
Monitor and ensure the accurate and timely payment of all local, district and country taxes. Maintain compliance with tax laws, deadlines, and reporting requirements. Prepare and submit all required tax filings to relevant authorities accurately and on time.
Annual Financial Statement Audit:
Lead and manage the annual financial statement audit, collaborating with external auditors to ensure the timely and accurate completion of the audit. Ensure that all financial statements are presented in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or Lithuanian Business Accounting Standards (LBAS). Ensure that all audit requirements are met and that any issues are addressed promptly. Provide necessary support for the completion of any audit-related documentation.
Statutory Filings and Compliance:
Lead and manage the timely filing of all statutory requirements, including tax filings, regulatory submissions, and other compliance-related activities. Ensure all filings are completed in compliance with local, district and country deadlines and requirements.
QuickBooks Setup and Management:
Set up QuickBooks for the organization, ensuring the system is tailored to meet business needs. Manage and monitor the general ledger chart of accounts in QuickBooks. Ensure accurate financial data entry, reconciliation, and reporting within the system.
Transition from Outsourced Bookkeeping:
Lead and manage the transition of the accounting function from an outsourced bookkeeping firm to an internal team. Manage all transferred information to ensure it is reconciled and migrated accurately. Implement systems and processes for efficient internal accounting operations. Train and manage the internal accounting team to ensure smooth integration and operations.
Monthly Financial Close:
Lead and manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time. Review and reconcile financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Provide clear and concise financial reports to management on a monthly basis.
Global Consolidation and Coordination with Telcoin Holdings Pte. Ltd.
Coordinate with the global Telcoin accounting team to support audit requests and ensure the smooth global consolidation of financial information. Ensure all international financial activities are accurately reflected in the global consolidation process. Collaborate with the Telcoin team to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the consolidation process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a Professional Accountants designation in accordance with the Lithuania Association of Accountants and Auditors qualifications. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Strong experience with QuickBooks and general ledger management. In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and local tax laws. Experience leading financial audits and managing compliance with statutory requirements. Proven track record of successfully transitioning accounting functions from outsourced providers to in-house teams. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
