About the role:

We are seeking an Accountant/ Senior Account with an interest in the Blockchain industry to join our team in Gibraltar. In this role, the Accountant will be required to build a good understanding of blockchain transactions and will work on both financial reporting and management accounting. The role involves problem-solving and creative thinking while aiming to achieve continuous improvement of accounting processes.

What you'll do:

• Assist in interpreting accounting standards and applying them to technical accounting transactions (DeFi, Exchanges, Gnosis DAO, Gnosis Chain)
• Update accounting policies for crypto transactions
• General financial reporting and book-keeping
• Account for digital asset transactions
• General ledger balances reconciliation
• Facilitate the submission of the annual financial accounts/ statements
• Assist with the tax reporting
• Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisers, legal counsels, tax authorities
• Maintain high quality procedures for the work that you are responsible for

Who you are:

• You are fluent in English (written and oral)
• You have 3+ years of experience in Accounting/ Finance
• You are ACCA or CIMA Part-Qualified/ Qualified
• You have advanced MS Excel skills
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• You can multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• You pay attention to details and deliver accurate work
• You have excellent organizational and management skills with an ability to think proactively
• You are interested in blockchain technology and ideally already have hands-on crypto experience
• You are willing to make regular trips to reunite with the rest of the team
