Web3 Communications & Content Manager

Purpose of the Role:

As part of our growing communications team, we are seeking a high calibre communications specialist to help manage and develop the reputation of our vibrant, progressive, and growing organisation. The Communications Manager role, based in Hong Kong/Singapore, is a fast-paced and dynamic position for a person who is passionate about managing the brand and reputation of one of the most recognised names in the crypto industry.

This position is especially fun - and challenging - because it requires creativity, quick thinking, and impeccable judgement and attention to detail. You’ll achieve your goals by helping to craft external and internal communications alongside the Head of Comms and Director of Comms, as well as supporting PR campaigns, working with media, writing blogs and op-eds, and assisting the wider marketing department.

A successful candidate will be a smart, resourceful individual who brings energy and passion to their role, with a proven track record in communications and content management from an agency, major financial services firm, or tech company. We’re looking for a team player who can forge productive relationships with those they interact with - whether as colleagues or when representing BitMEX to the outside world.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Company Announcements: work with Head of Comms and Director of Comms to oversee and manage company communications, both internal and external. This includes blogs, trading announcements, social media posts, and so on.
• Proactive Campaign Development: work with brand & reputation department/ wider marketing department to help execute proactive campaigns (in partnership with other aspects of the business)
• Manage journalist enquiries and media database: help to coordinate and track company representative interaction with key journalists around the world.
• Help manage activation of strategic partnerships, including AC Milan.
• Assist with content development and presence for BitMEX’s appearances at industry events and conferences around the world.
• Interact with external agency teams.
• Help to coordinate internal communications.
• Provide support on issues management.

Key Requirements, Capabilities and Skillsets:

• 3-5 years PR experience, gained within either in-house or agency environment.
• Financial services, cryptocurrency or technology experience preferred.
• Media relations experience - handling incoming sensitive media enquiries, and proven experience of interaction with international journalists.
• Familiarity and experience of managing blog set-up (Wordpress) and email database (Sendgrid) management desired.
• Familiarity and experience of social media platform management (Hootsuite).
• Varied writing experience required from long to short-form (e.g. blog posts to social media posts, internal communications etc.)
• Strong English language (written and spoken) essential; and other core languages welcomed but not essential (e.g. Mandarin; Russian; Korean).
• Collaborative mindset to work in an international environment as part of one global team.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Impeccable judgment with ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Excellent attention to detail is an absolute must.
