About the Opportunity
The Compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. AML/CTF and Sanctions risk management is a core pillar of our Compliance programme and a key area of risk that we proactively seek to mitigate.The position reports directly to the Compliance Lead, OKX Hong Kong.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks
- Monitor and assess compliance with laws, regulations and policies (including AML/CFT and Sanctions, FATF Guidances, etc) and similar types of regulation.
- Work closely with stakeholders such as Finance to further establish banking ties
- Participate, track and monitor AML reviews and investigations.
- Support and complete Wolfsburg questionnaire and other external due diligence checks.
- Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Engaging cross-functionally (with groups such as Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk) to implement an effective compliance management program in line with the global standards and industry best practices.
- Strong focus on identifying opportunities and gaps within OKX Hong Kong's AML Risk controls, products, including continuously evolving AML trends and product gaps.
- Lead logical AML investigations based on in-depth analysis, formulate proposals to ensure optimal balance between user experience, business enablement, operational expense and fraud prevention strategy related to the proposed solutions
- Ensure AML cases, queues and tasks in the team’s responsibility are executed correctly
- Manage due diligence investigations and assist in establishing the integrity and identity of potential and established clients and business partners
- Review case documents, interview employees and third parties as required
What We Look For In You
- Experience in compliance within the financial services, FinTech or cryptocurrency industries.
- Experience and knowledge of relevant laws and requirements (AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection, privacy) and supporting regulatory engagements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Proven ability to work within and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, critical thinker and adept at working independently and in a dispersed team environment covering multiple and varied tasks
- Intuitive, highly ethical and comfortable to question and challenge
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Nice to Haves
- Prior experience working in a US multinational or matrix environment
- Prior experience working in the crypto industry
- CAMS, ICA, or equivalent certification
