Director of Engineering - Web 3 / Custody

Your mission

As the Engineering Director for our Crypto Hub, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our dynamic engineering teams, with a specific focus on Blockchain and Custody solutions. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional who can drive technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration within a fast-paced and rapidly evolving industry.

What you’ll do

• Provide leadership to the engineering teams, aligning their efforts with the company's overall mission and strategic objectives. Develop and implement engineering strategies that incorporate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, particularly in Blockchain, DeFi and Custody solutions.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, including Blockchain developers, Custody specialists, and related technologists. Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of Blockchain-based solutions, ensuring they meet high standards of security, scalability, and performance. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Blockchain technology and assess their applicability to our products and services.
• Manage the engineering efforts related to custody solutions, focusing on the secure storage and management of digital assets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance custody services, addressing regulatory compliance, risk management, and user experience.
• You will drive a culture of technical excellence, encouraging best practices, code reviews, and continuous learning within the engineering teams.Implement and maintain robust development processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Implement and enforce security protocols and compliance standards within the engineering teams, especially in the context of Blockchain and Custody services. Work closely with compliance officers to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards.

Who you are

• Proven experience in an Engineering leadership role within a Trading, Fintech or Blockchain-focused organisation.
• Strong background in managing engineering teams with expertise in Blockchain technology and Custody services.
• In-depth knowledge of blockchain protocols, consensus algorithms, and smart contract development.
• Familiarity with custody solutions, security practices, and regulatory considerations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture effective cross-functional relationships.
• Demonstrated success in implementing and managing agile development processes.A strategic mindset with the ability to align technical initiatives with business goals.
