Web3 Director of Software Engineering, Internal Tools

We are looking for a strong leader to help build the team, roadmap and strategy for our Internal Finance and Compliance technology. As Ripple continues to grow we are investing in our Finance and Compliance tooling to best serve our customers. We are looking for a results oriented, hands on Director of Engineering to lead and grow this new team at Ripple.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Architect and build Finance and Compliance solutions to help our internal teams support our customers
• Build systems that will scale to 100x from today
• Work in a fast paced environment
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from software design and requirements gathering to unit and integration testing
• Integrate with the XRP Ledger, a distributed ledger built on the principles of Blockchain and its native currency XRP, the fastest and most scalable digital asset
• Work with teams across the organization, including product, design, marketing, integrations, ops, customer success, legal etc
• Be a technical subject matter expert, provide technical leadership and share your expertise with a growing team of engineers
• Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing and driving best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
• Build, manage and mentor an engineering team that is focused on streamlining finance and compliance operations and processes that is essential to Ripple’s success

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 12+ years of experience in software development experience in at least one of the following technologies: Java, Python, Rails, etc.
• Have managed engineering teams of 10+ and take pride in the personal success of your team
• You have demonstrated success building highly scalable APIs / backend platforms / distributed systems / data access layers, etc. that have high availability and SLAs
• You have a bias towards action and make decisions quickly after considering competing viewpoints
• You have successfully recruited high performing teammates
• You thrive on autonomy and responsibility
• BS in Computer Science or similar
• Experience with ERPs, financial tools, or compliance solutions a plus
