About this role:

As the BVNK team works towards offering businesses around the world a frictionless FX and cross border payments experience, the BVNK Banking team is solving some of the most interesting and challenging questions around, and we’re looking for a Head of Banking to facilitate domestic transactions via local payment rails and currencies across Europe and APAC.

We’re looking for someone to join our banking leadership team to build a worldwide Banking and Financial Partnerships strategy and grow our partner base.

Today we partner with open banking payment providers, international banking as a service companies, trading and liquidity venues and the world’s leading custodians. We’re only just getting started and the list is growing exponentially. This role is going to be vital in our core banking presence going forward. This is a chance to come in and lead a vital function in our business and help us achieve our ambitious expansion goals.

As Head of Banking, you will:

• Lead the strategic delivery efforts of expanding and deepening BVNK’s banking partnerships in UK, Europe and APAC
• Act as the organisational voice for banks and provide insights to functional teams across the business on further organisational development needs to enhance/expand banking partnerships.
• Build and own a strategic roadmap for access to domestic payment schemes
• Support our product team with a roadmap of banking integrations and providing strategic guidance on BVNK’s product capabilities
• Support our product and commercial teams on key customer rollouts
• Monitor the performance of banking routes, including profitability, liquidity, and risk management, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and industry groups.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive growth.
• Ensure that BVNK’s banking technology and infrastructure are sufficient to support its operations and align to customer needs - both current and future needs.

What we need from you:

• Based in the UK or EU
• Significant experience in regulated payment business or neobank
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success managing a banking pipeline and driving expansion with existing banking partners.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, risk management, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop banking team
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and make informed decisions.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
