About Firefly

Firefly is a decentralized, orderbook-based exchange for financial products. We are looking to recruit in our New York City offices with the option to be partially or fully remote depending on the position. You will be joining an experienced team at an early stage to develop infrastructure that will help bring millions to DeFi.

The Role

You will work alongside Firefly’s leadership team to help the company with all internal operations necessary to be successful. You'll be tapped to help with company-wide goal-setting, provide significant input into strategic decisions and work on special projects that are not covered by an existing functional area.

This role is ideal for someone looking to be part of a high-performance team while also driving the end-to-end execution of top-priority strategic projects within a growing, fast-paced startup environment. As a key leader in the company, you will collaborate closely with the executive team and will have a unique opportunity to shape, drive, and adapt the company’s strategy at the highest levels. Example responsibilities include:

  • Identify and take on ad hoc strategic projects — define new opportunities, execute cross-functional initiatives, and close the gaps in business and operations
  • Work across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, Risk, and Operations to execute against Firefly’s growth goals
  • Solve complex business problems and build/iterate on process for a wide range of go-to-market and operational needs within a high-growth startup
  • Analyze key go-to-market KPIs to identify areas of strength and improvement, in close partnership with go-to-market leaders
  • Manage finance, accounting, tax, and legal workstreams

What you will bring

  • Combination of strategy consulting / investment banking and/or strategy, business operations, analytics or growth at a fast-growing technology company
  • Understanding of technology and experience with various tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau, Salesforce, etc)
  • Effective written communication in reporting on the business planning and performance, including top executives, investors, and staff
  • Willingness to get in the weeds and work through complicated problems
  • Outstanding project management and change management across internal staff, vendors, and strategic partners
  • Domain experience in crypto/blockchain/DeFi is a plus
