About the Role:
 
The Head of People Operations (Contractor) is responsible for payroll and benefits administration with overall knowledge of all human resource compliance and payroll functions.
 
Payroll Administration:
 
       Manages PEO Payroll providers
       Develops in depth understanding of payroll software and HRIS
       Makes recommendations for payroll related policies
       Responsible for timely, accurately and compliantly processing bi-weekly domestic and international payrolls
       Processes employee data for compensation, job title & address changes, additional earnings, etc.
       Responsible for managing payroll onboarding and offboarding
       Processes and administers employee paid time off and reconcile variances
       Audits and maintains employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
       Create People analytics and reports on demand
       Derives all payroll and benefits accounting journal entries
  
You will have the opportunity to:
 
Benefits Administration:
       Co Host-  new hire orientation to answer any benefits questions
       Guides employees through open enrollment/ registration and ensure accuracy.
       Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes, status changes, COBRA and retirement administration
       Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA  and processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
 
Compensation:
       Completes annual reporting for employee benefits: ACA, 1099, 401K, Workers Comp, Unemployment, etc. processes home office stipends, workers compensation and life insurance
       Updates and maintains compensation guidelines utilizing Radford data and global surveys as needed
       In connection with PEO, manages all total rewards including employee & volunteer benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, disability, and Defined Contribution 401(k) Plan
 
General People team duties:
       Coordinate and tracks employee immigration cases to completion
       Ensure all required reporting, forms, and posters are up to date, displayed and maintained accurately.
       Participates in developing People department goals, objectives, and systems
       Conducts investigations on employee and performance relations issues
       Conducts exit interviews and owns offboarding processes
 
Qualifications:

       Ten + years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations
       Expertise in current Employment laws, compliance and regulatory affairs
       Experience managing PEO’s and international payroll providers
       Experience working in a fast paced, start-up environment
       Docusign expert familiar with bulk send features, a plus
       Carta experience is a plus
