The Financial Market Team â¤ï¸

The Financial Markets Team at OpenZeppelin accelerates the adoption of security solutions for financial institutions moving onchain. As tokenization and digital assets gain momentum, we support the world’s largest institutions with industry-leading security audits and open-source smart contract libraries.

Our focus is on driving revenue through security services while developing innovative solutions for a rapidly evolving market. This includes forming strategic alliances with Web3 partners and traditional institutions, and creating battle-tested open-source tooling with the internal ecosystem development team.

We operate cross-functionally with Sales, Ecosystem, Project Delivery, and Legal to ensure a seamless go-to-market strategy and execution.

What you'll be doing

As a Solution Architect for the Financial Market Team, you will serve as a key technical liaison for institutional clients entering the Web3 space. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the technical requirements of traditional financial institutions and help tailor OpenZeppelin’s offerings and proposals to meet their security, compliance and operational needs.

You will act as a trusted advisor and technical account manager for key clients, helping bridge the gap between their TradFi infrastructure and onchain opportunities. This is a high-impact role that combines technical expertise, consultative problem-solving, and close collaboration with internal product and services teams.

  • Serve as the technical account manager for major financial institutions, ensuring their technical needs are fully understood and addressed.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and deliver live product demos for enterprise clients.
  • Assess client security requirements to design tailored solutions using OpenZeppelin’s products and services.
  • Collaborate with Product and Security Services teams to refine offerings and prioritize enhancements based on client feedback.
  • Create detailed technical proposals and solution documents to support seamless transitions from pre-sales to implementation.
  • Develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to demonstrate use cases in tokenization, DeFi integration, and secure smart contract systems.
  • Provide technical support and architectural guidance to priority clients throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Represent OpenZeppelin through thought leadership at webinars, conferences, and public forums to evangelize secure blockchain practices.

You have

  • 2+ years in a Solution Architect or technical sales engineering role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical and executive audiences
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript and Solidity
  • Deep understanding of Ethereum and blockchain infrastructure
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of security concerns and best practices in smart contract development.
  • Proven experience building and delivering PoCs and technical proposals for enterprise clients.
  • Experience supporting enterprise clients in a pre-sales or consultative capacity.
  • Familiarity with the workflows and expectations of traditional financial institutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience deploying Solidity smart contracts (ERC20, ERC721, etc).
  • Familiarity with financial products like tokenized securities, stablecoins, or payment rails.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines or serverless infrastructure.
  • Prior work in regulated financial environments or with compliance teams.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
  • Public speaking experience (webinars, conference talks, etc.).
