Web3 Head of Legal

Confirmo is one of the fastest growing crypto payment gateway, and our flexible solutions, low fees, and top-class support make it easy for businesses of all sizes to accept crypto payments. Since 2022, we’ve grown 700% in volume and now process over $80M+ monthly. We have just received CBI approval for our MiCA licence in Ireland and are continuing to expand our global operations. We are now looking to hire a Global Head of Legal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary legal advisor to the CEO and C-level team on all legal, corporate governance, and compliance matters.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, partnership and technology contracts.

• Lead the legal side of a global expansion, communicating with the local regulators and advisors.

• Partner with compliance on implementing a robust compliance program to ensure the company operates in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

• Identify and mitigate legal risks.

Your Profile:

• Extensive experience serving as in-house counsel or primary legal advisor in a fintech, cryptocurrency, or payments company, advising C-suite executives on corporate governance, legal strategy, and compliance issues.

• Proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing legal aspects of international business expansion, including navigating regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions and liaising with local authorities and external advisors in the crypto and payments sectors.

• Strong background in developing and implementing compliance programs for financial services or crypto entities, ensuring adherence to global regulations such as AML/KYC, data privacy (e.g., GDPR), and crypto-specific laws.

Location: We have offices based in Dublin and Prague, but this role can be remote from Europe or the UK with occasional travel.
