Junior Quantitative Crypto Asset Analyst

Job description

We are looking for a new team member that will help us in researching crypto assets and publish independent reviews and ratings.

The goal of this position is to help Baserank create premium content for crypto investment funds and private investors.

As a Junior Quantitative Crypto Asset Analyst at Baserank, your main responsibility will be to help in the creation of fundamental analyses of crypto assets. You will work on the following:

• Comparative analyses - collecting, sorting and evaluating key metrics
• Creating and updating research reports for final users
• Importing external ratings and reviews from various sources to our platform
• Optimization of analytical methodology

The role does not have specific working hours, but we expect you to dedicate at least 30 hours per week to this role. Our team is working remotely so you can work from anywhere you want.

Must have

• Advanced experience with either Excel or Google Sheets
• Excellent written English skills
• Analytical mindset
• Passionate about crypto asset market
• General knowledge about Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, investments
• Get things done performance

Nice to have

It would be nice if you would have experience in any of these areas (not required):

• Experience with accessing APIs
• Python
• Investment or financial analysis
• Smart contract auditing

What can you expect?

You are not required to be a professional analyst, you will receive guidance from us to learn how to analyze crypto assets. Most important is that you need to have an analytical mindset - you need to be able to go deep into a specific topic and understand the ins and outs of a specific topic. You need to be able to focus on one thing but see the broad picture of a project you are evaluating.

You will be responsible for your work and your work results will directly influence the success of our business. You will receive initial instruction for each task, and over time, you are expected to work individually and report your results.
