About Starknet Foundation
The Starknet Foundation is a non-profit organization established to support the development of Starknet, a state-of-the-art layer 2 blockchain network built on top of Ethereum. Our mission is to unlock Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency, making decentralized applications more accessible and effective.
Why we’re hiring & why we’re excited about this role
It's an exciting time for the Foundation as we enter a new stage of growth - as such, we are hiring an experienced People Ops practitioner to spearhead this growth by managing the end to end People Experience and deploying creative strategies that empower our team of top-tier talent to win. As our first ever POps hire, you’ll be a founding member of this team, with broad latitude to build out people operations, develop programs & processes, and experiment with approaches to retain and engage our unicorn talent.
The People team
At Starknet Foundation, the People Team is instrumental in propelling our growth and shaping our future. Our mission is to make Starknet Foundation a sought after destination in the Web3 space. We aim to attract, inspire, and retain a diverse, global, and highly skilled workforce that continually elevates performance and drives impact. We create an environment where career-defining moments happen, offering meaningful challenges that unlock exceptional opportunities for personal and professional development. The People Team leads these efforts, fostering a culture where both our ecosystem and team members thrive. The Starknet Foundation is committed to this work and has invested early a People function.
Role Overview
As People Operations, you will play a critical role in scaling our People operations while maintaining the exceptional employee experience that defines our org. You will work closely with the Head of People (me, Ceri!) to develop and execute strategies that attract, retain, and develop top talent. This is a highly collaborative and autonomous role where you will have the freedom to innovate and make a significant impact. As we are (and will continue to be) a small, lean, team of senior specialists (currently: 27) - we’re looking for someone who can come in and flex through a range of responsibilities from tactical through to strategic (this goes for every person in our org). This is not a high volume operation, and our People Operations operating model will always be high value / high touch.
Key Responsibilities
The list below is not exhaustive, and you won’t be doing this all on your own - we’re a team and we work together to get things done. That said, this should give you a view on the range of things you might jump into.
How to Apply
If you are passionate about people operations and excited about the opportunity to help us scale, we would love to hear from you! Please submit your CV via Lever. If you have any work examples you’d like to include upfront, those are deeply appreciated and help showcase your experience. Feel free to do so (optional - we may ask late stage candidates for this later on). Even if you're not sure you meet the requirements, please feel free to apply anyway and tell us why you think you'd be great in the role - we welcome your application.
