The role in a nutshell
Our mission as the People team at Luno is to ignite Luno’s mission by inspiring the extraordinary and empowering our global community of Lunauts to reach their full potential in a “remote but reachable” world. We aim to achieve this by building a high performing team, one united by our mission and Moontality (our Culture).
The role of People Partner is within our People Partnering team. You will work closely with the People Lead and wider People Team to partner with your business units to deliver their people strategy and achieve Luno’s mission. You will have a specific focus on the onboarding experience, engagement and various other touchpoints that matter whilst embedding our Moontality in everything that we do.
Your mission will involve
- Supporting People Managers: As a People Partner a large proportion of your role will be on the (virtual) ground providing proactive support to our People Managers with coaching, advice and guidance on all things people related
- Change management: We see ourselves as change makers and as we scale there is plenty of exciting change happening. You will have the opportunity to work with the wider People Team on change management programmes for your location, functions as well as globally
- Onboarding: You will play a key role in creating and coordinating an experience that inspires our Newnauts!
- People Development: Collaborate with the People Development Team on our feedback, people mapping processes, first 90 days and promotion processes to help our Lunauts reach their full potential
- Employee Relations: Be a trusted partner able to guide, investigate and facilitate processes and make recommendations relating to misconduct, under performance, probation, incapacity and other challenges that may arise
- People projects: Contribute towards various People projects such as localising our onboarding experience; co-creating development frameworks and defining the future of work in a remote but reachable world for our teams
In your first six months, you will
- Provide support to the People Lead across the entire employee journey, including setting new starters up for success, engagement action plans, performance management and other initiatives
- Participate in the wider People Team’s roadmap of projects as part of our mission to upgrade the world of work.
The ideal Lunaut for this role, will have
- Working knowledge of applicable employment legislation
- Attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility and very high level of integrity
- A can-do, get-things-done attitude
- Approachability, self awareness and good people skills is a must
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high proficiency in English
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to self-manage according to team objectives
- Proven ability to prioritise and multitask in an ever-changing fast moving environment
- Problem solving skills
