Overview
Knox Networks is an open source software platform that supports white label programmable money and digital identity solutions for financial institutions.
The Knox software platform can be used for issuing, authorizing, verifying, executing, transacting, distributing and reporting programmable money between financial institutions and/or consumers as non-account based financial instruments including, but not limited to: digital cash, treasury securities, repurchase agreements, central bank digital currencies and any other cash analogue. Our technology focuses on balancing privacy, scalability and interoperability with various financial standards and payment networks.
Description
As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with engineering and product teams to develop the testing strategy, test plan for projects by applying proven analytic and problem-solving skills to validate our systems integrations and applications fulfill business/ functional and non-functional requirements.
You will use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple global locations.
The position is based in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA (also open to 100% remote) with full-time salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities, Prioritized:
- Lead quality engineering efforts from planning, execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in tools and testing.
- Act as the gatekeeper between our development and user environments, working meticulously to test and retest products, seeking out defects and driving their resolution with software engineers.
- Develop scalable and reliable automated tests for software and feature quality at both system and user level.
- Design, create, modify and execute test strategies/plans and drive to improve software testing processes and methodologies.
- Optimize and maintain team oriented tools or tests to increase productivity.
- Developing upon the vision of QA practices for the project or product and implementing that vision
- Act as a subject matter expert in ensuring that product requirements have been implemented
- Responsible for coordinating SIT & UAT planning, test case specification, test execution, defect management and test status reporting activities with support from Business team
- Review test coverage and define functional requirements from a customer perspective. Create test plan, automation suite for functional test, performance tests for application performance and test management application for tracking tests for each release.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with: functional and black-box testing, regression testing, system integration testing, load testing, manual testing.
- Extensive experience leading, coordinating, and building software
- Experience in testing strategies and frameworks & script development
- Experience in technical leadership or people management.
- Experience in building test automation solutions, automated internal frameworks, monitor systems, or improving testing effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a QA Engineer with experience in testing strategies and frameworks and script development
- Coding skills and experience
- Experience with applications written in Rust and Go.
- Proactive attitude, being able to lead the work to be done with little or no supervision. Ability to lead testing activities and engagement with cross-functional teams to shape design and project direction.
- Comfortable with QA ownership and decision-making
- Excellent communication (synchronous and asynchronous) and social skills
