Responsibilities
- Be the company’s point of reference for reporting activities towards public authorities and regulators.
- Extraction and collection of relevant users’ data.
- Preparation of required reporting packages based on users’ data and according to local regulatory standards.
- Lead the preparation of AML/KYC compliance reports related to virtual assets and SARs.
- Handle and review assigned cases within available SLAs, including advising relevant stakeholders on next steps.
- Maintain escalation log and client off-boarding log updated, and support client off-boarding process where required.
- Maintain strong collaborative working relationships between the internal teams guaranteeing information is accurate and consistent to ensure reporting requirements and quality of SARs to satisfy official deadlines.
- Produce documentation and procedures in accordance with local regulatory reporting instructions and in compliance with global department policies, standards and procedures.
- Take a lead role in automation projects to further streamline our reporting process.
- Keep the subsidiary updated on new regulatory reporting requirements and propose solutions to implement them.
- Other tasks as may be required by the management in order to make sure the subsidiary complies with applicable reporting laws.
- University Degree in Economics, or other Administrative or IT related subjects gained with highest votes from a reputable University.
- At least 3 years directly related experience in a compliance/reporting role and/or regulatory facing role with a substantial knowledge of relevant rules and regulations and the day-to-day compliance/reporting duties.
- Good knowledge of Mexican legislation regarding cryptocurrencies, reporting and regulatory obligations.
- Good knowledge on provisions of local laws, directives, regulations and otherwise standards applicable to virtual assets and knowledge of upcoming regulation on virtual assets is a strong plus.
- Self-motivated, ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure and stress.
- Detail-oriented with strong controls mindset and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Financial / Regulatory /Accounting background preferred.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is a MUST (other analytics tools such as SQL, Python are a plus)
- Native in Spanish. Full professional proficiency in English is a mandatory.
