A&M’s Crypto unit is the leading global crypto advisor. With more than 90 offices world-wide, A&M Crypto provides a wide range of advisory services led by experts in the industry with real-world experience. A&M combines operational, management, accounting, tax, and industry expertise to deliver unparalleled results for institutions looking to adopt digital assets. Our expertise is shaped by hands-on experience from being selected as the key company-side advisor for more than 80% of the largest crypto restructurings to-date, including FTX, Celsius, Terra, Genesis and more. A&M Crypto is now helping large institutions with stablecoin adoption, RWA tokenization, bank advisory, government advisory, navigating DeFi, end-to-end compliance programs, financial reporting systems, U.S. and international IPO readiness, tax, M&A transaction diligence and more.
We are seeking a Crypto Research Analyst with a deep passion for digital assets, blockchain technology, and the evolving Web3 ecosystem. This role will be instrumental in shaping A&M’s thought leadership in the crypto space—producing high-impact research, insights, and visual analyses that influence industry perspectives.
How Will You Contribute
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis across the crypto and digital asset landscape, including market structure, token economics, decentralized finance, infrastructure, stablecoins, institutional adoption, and regulation.
- Develop thought leadership reports, insights, and presentations for publication and client engagement.
- Analyze market and on-chain data using Excel, blockchain analytics platforms, and open datasets to uncover trends and support strategic conclusions.
- Create visually engaging charts, infographics, and presentations that communicate findings with clarity and impact.
- Collaborate with senior team members to define research priorities, editorial themes, and publication cadence.
- Support client engagements requiring expertise in crypto market dynamics, token models, or data-driven analysis.
- Stay current on developments in the crypto ecosystem, including market trends, regulatory changes, and technological innovations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- 1–3 years of experience in research, financial analysis, consulting, or similar analytical roles.
- Strong understanding of crypto markets, blockchain fundamentals, and digital asset infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience in graphic design, UI design is a plus.
- Proven ability to translate data into insights through clear writing and visual storytelling.
- Exceptional written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated passion for crypto and emerging technologies, evidenced through prior research, writing, or engagement in the space.
- Experience with on-chain analytics or crypto data platforms (e.g., Dune, Nansen, Glassnode, Token Terminal).
- Familiarity with regulatory, institutional, and macroeconomic factors shaping the digital asset market.
- Portfolio of previous research or visual work is strongly preferred.

Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
