The Role

The Operations team at Fortress isn’t your traditional team. We’re a new, dynamic team looking to grow our footprint in the Web3 payment space, and are looking for someone to grow with us and own our processes.

As the Reconciliations Associate, you’ll be performing daily cash and monthly asset reconciliations of complex accounts as well as investigating and clearing all differences within prescribed timelines. Your day-to-day routine will be to investigate, process activities, and resolve complex trades, transactions and settlements.

We are looking for a candidate to be onsite with us in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties)

    • You will process daily, weekly, and monthly adjustments accurately and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. 
    • You will investigate and resolve accounts that have not settled on time and log all transactions that have failed within prescribed timelines for audit purposes. 
    • You will ensure productivity standards are achieved and Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded. 
    • Analyze and test financial data from multiple internal and external sources and identify inaccuracies, incompleteness and potential areas of risk.
    • Support proper record keeping, data entry, and reporting activities including maintaining data, documentation, and work papers in accordance with established policy and procedures.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements)

    • 1-2 years of reconciliations preferred, open to junior candidates/fresh graduates with the right skillsets below:
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookup, if statements, sumif, index match, etc.
    • Strong analytical reasoning skills.
    • Comfortability with learning and using new software tools.
    • Team focused mindset, eager to collaborate with others to solve problems.
    • Excellent communication skills both inside the organization, as well as externally with clients.

Nice to haves:

    • Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, or other related areas is an asset.
    • Experience or interest in Crypto.
    • An accounting background is an asset.
