Product Marketing Manager
SELF ID is looking for an experienced “full-stack” Product Marketing Manager to join our team. This is a pivotal role that will partner with our product, design, and engineering teams to build, launch and drive adoption of SELF ID. You will catalyze our growth by helping to define our value proposition, craft compelling messaging and develop effective go-to-market strategies to acquire and retain users, integration partners, and platforms.
As our first Marketing hire, you will also have the opportunity to help us build out the marketing foundation at SELF ID–from developing messaging and positioning, telling our customers’ stories, architecting campaigns, building out enablement resources and more.
This is a full-time role reporting to the Co-Founder & Chief Experience Officer (CXO) that can be held anywhere in the world.
What you’ll do at SELF ID:
- Gather insights through customer interviews, market research and close collaboration with early partner to understand the needs and pains of our target audience
- Turn these insights into a comprehensive value proposition and messaging framework taking into consideration different personas and business challenges
- Drive the creation of solution specific content including demo videos, pitch decks, website landing pages, one pagers, data-driven case studies
- Drive early adoption by managing customer communications, coordinating feedback sessions, and promoting customer success stories
- Work closely with the founding team, along with product and engineering—to develop our go-to-market strategy, product messaging and positioning that sets us apart from competitors and demonstrates understanding of our customers’ needs
- Define, test and tweak the value proposition and positioning for our solutions based on market feedback
- Analyze customer data to identify new trends and emerging patterns in product usage to feedback to product
- Quantitatively measure the effectiveness of our product marketing programs in driving adoption of SELF ID
What Excites Us:
- 5-7+ years in product marketing or a related role
- Experience in an early-stage startup bringing complex solutions to the broader financial services market
- Experience project managing and coordinating cross-functional initiatives
- Experience developing messaging, positioning and value proposition frameworks for complex problems and new products
- Strategic thinker who connects industry-wide insights to inform narratives and product positioning
- Passion for learning new products and industries—unafraid to dive into the nitty gritty technical details
- The ability to champion the customer and have good habits and experience in soliciting customer feedback
- Strong writing skills, meaning you avoid enterprise jargon, can adapt to the SELF ID voice, and write with the customer in mind
- A data-driven approach to your work
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get scrappy—we are a startup after all
- Blockchain, crypto, web3 experience a plus
