We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Smart Contract engineering discipline with an applied understanding of designing and implementing secure smart contracts across one or more blockchains. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to connect contracts to beautiful user interfaces that bring crypto products to crypto traders and normal people.
We constantly look at new tech, so anyone working here will need to enjoy a combination of learning and shipping. Someone who has an interest in finance, crypto/blockchain, distributed systems, and consumer facing product considerations altogether would be really really happy here.
What you’ll be doing
- Work with the team to collaborate and execute on our product goals and technical roadmap, design, scope, and estimate complex contract based on requirements
- Own features end to end, participate in everything from design reviews to triaging bugs.
- Design, code, test and deployd secure and sound smart contracts.
- Review code written by other team members
- Deploy to production and contribute to the systems that enable us to ship faster.
- Collaborate with third party Smart Contract Auditors to ensure the quality assurance of the proposed changes as they go through our smart contract release process
- Engage communities by sharing design decisions and document how the protocol works.
- Proposing new project ideas and contribute to building our engineering culture.
Requirements
- Proficiency building crypto-native projects deployed on an EVM mainnet — especially using Solidity and Ethereum development tools (e.g. Hardhat, OpenZeppelin).
- Understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine, gas optimization tradeoffs, and security You understand gas optimization and tradeoffs between efficient code, readable code, and user experience
- Experience with scripting for test automation & monitoring, probably in Javascript and Typescript
- Know how to write migrations and deploy code to EVM-compatible networks
- Attention to detail and understanding on underlying blockchain architectures
- Have a collaborative, problem-solving attitude and be willing to help other team members
- You possess a deep understanding of software documentation procedures and a strong desire to express your technical ideas with clarity
- You have a technical & practical understanding of DeFi, including the integration of oracles
