About The Role
The Lending Operations Project Manager will act as an objective business consultant to various business leaders across a broad set of processes within Figure Lending. This role will assist in developing a future state vision and lead the design of the future state processes and various initiatives supporting an organization that is experiencing tremendous growth. This individual will drive flawless execution of key strategic initiatives that impact the overall performance of various business units within Lending with a heightened focus on the Loan Fulfillment and Loan Servicing business units.
Process design will be a focus area for this role, providing an opportunity for this individual to introduce new concepts and/or philosophies or reduce variability between lines of business and make a real impact. This individual will also develop design options that balance risk and reward for senior leaders to opine which allows each leader to provide clear and sound paths forward. Individual will deploy new workflow solutions, people/process change, and/or other requests as needed. May serve as a business process owner for various recurring meeting(s) (e.g., Lending Initiatives, Investor, Rating Agency) by assisting with preparing the agenda, collecting meeting content, and serving as the gatekeeper for the meeting collateral to be consolidated into a single source document for cohesive presentation and effective cross-functional communication. Leads cross-functional teams on areas of focus for change.
What You Will Do
- Provide oversight of multiple projects of varying complexity in support of lending operations initiatives
- Develop requirements, timelines, deliverables, and approvals for project documentation to improve transparency and facilitate accountability.
- Partner with internal and external Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other key business partners to design, prioritize and execute on Lending Operations strategy.
- Assess viable strategic solutions in support of organizational goals and priorities.
- Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to document strategy recommendations and business cases to support prioritization, funding, and implementation timelines.
- Communicate ideas concisely and effectively to various levels of audience including executive (C-Suite) levels.
- Coordinate project tasks across multiple teams with a proven history of applying critical thinking and intellectual curiosity to drive change.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex products, systems, and services in a strategic environment.
- Develop user testing and training plans for those most impacted by system and/or process changes.
- Provide high-level post-implementation support to end users following releases.
- Capture meeting minutes/deliverables, distribute and archive after various meetings that are coordinated by the Project Manager and/or other Lending
- Operations Leaders that request Project Management assistance on various meetings and initiatives.
What We Look For
- 4+ years of relevant Operations and/or Technology project delivery experience working in a cross-functional capacity.
- Financial Services, preferably in a Lending Operations (e.g., Loan Originations, Fulfillment, and/or Servicing) experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to think and work independently in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to solicit input and gain commitment from others.
- Ability to structure problems, drive root cause analysis, focus on details while maintaining a big picture view, identify issues, prioritize quickly, and recommend solutions.
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.

What Would Be a Plus
- Experience in process improvement, including designing, building, implementing, and iterating on processes to drive an effective, efficient business.
- Experience with operating and working with various lending (Loan Originations and Servicing) systems.
- Experience working in a start-up and/or consulting environment.
- Experience using Notion and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) would be a plus, but not required.
- Understanding of Agile Development methodology.
- Working knowledge of lending laws, rules, and regulations.
