About the Ethereum Foundation and Launchpad Program

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum and related technologies. Our mission is to do what is best for Ethereum’s long-term success. Our role is to allocate resources to critical projects, to be a valued voice within the Ethereum ecosystem, and to advocate for Ethereum to the outside world.

The Launchpad Program is a small incubation function which helps high-potential projects become sustainable, credibly neutral, public-goods-provisioning institutions for the Ethereum ecosystem. The program covers the range from traditional spinouts (EF teams creating a new organization) to spin-ups (incubating an idea or supporting a grantee or early ecosystem organization). The team serves as a sparring partner, supporting with organizing, structuring, and planning as well as providing and maintaining resources around the topic of creating and nurturing new ecosystem organizations.

Recently, the team has supported the launch of ecosystem organizations such as powdr and Argot Collective.

    • Build and cultivate meaningful relationships with relevant people and organizations in the ecosystem
