This is a hands-on role that requires someone who enjoys a breadth of responsibilities and can comfortably switch from being strategic (developing IT security policies, account governance practices and security configurations) to tactical (e.g., managing asset inventory, providing end-user troubleshooting support, conducting account audits, etc.).

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop and maintain IT infrastructure: plan and ensure the proper configuration, installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks.
  • Manage IT budget; physical inventory, SaaS subscriptions and license management.
  • Manage device sourcing, provisioning, and maintenance of PC and Mac desktops and laptops. Own the company's end-point management strategy.
  • Monitor and manage Google Workspace usage; manage user accounts, groups, and access permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels are assigned to users.

  • Manage and support identity providers that govern application access such as Okta and Google Workspace. Execute the transition of new and existing applications into Okta SSO and improve existing integrations through automation and Okta Workflows.
  • Develop and implement governance standards and processes re: Google workspace, Slack channels, groups, and distribution lists.
  • Own IT onboarding processes and touchpoints for new hires, as well as the IT offboarding plan for terminated employees and consultants.
  • Manage the Mobile Device Management System not only for tracking but deployment of software and organizational controls and security. Expand on tracking systems already in place and develop best practices for device management.
  • Organize and facilitate a cross-functional IT steering committee to drive decisions that affect multiple groups.
  • Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
  • Provide on-site and help desk support when needed (e.g., desktop and mobile devices, password resets, troubleshooting hardware/software issues). Deploy, maintain and upgrade conferencing technology as needed.
  • Drive automation of corporate IT processes and systems; communicate policies and procedures to end users.
  • Source, evaluate and manage IT vendors as needed.
  • Develop and deliver IT training resources and programs for employees to promote the effective use of Google Workspace within our organization.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years IT/systems administration experience supporting business technologies with a deep understanding of computer software and hardware (Mac, Windows, Linux)

  • Experienced in developing, applying, and managing security configurations.
  • Experience managing user accounts, groups, and access permissions in Google Workspace, ensuring appropriate access levels are assigned to users.
