As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping cryptocurrency investors and Web3 businesses navigate the complexities of their financial operations. Required Education
- Bachelor's or master's in accounting from an accredited college or university
- CPA license preferred
Required Experience
- 1+ years of experience in public accounting, tax, or financial management.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Proficiency in crypto accounting in multiple areas of crypto (DeFi, NFTs, Mining, etc.)
- Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS
- Client-facing experience with the ability to build relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment. Including working and training with offshore staff.
- Deep familiarity and expertise with blockchain explorers and tracing and tracking transactions.
- Deep familiarity with general concepts of cryptocurrency and blockchain including NFT and DeFi, preferably a history of personal digital asset investments and self-learning.
- Ability to learn internal systems and software related to accounting, blockchain and crypto.
- Demonstrated passion and deep understanding of emerging trends within the cryptocurrency industry via participation in web3 or other forms of self-directed learning.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data - you will be working through many thousands and/or hundred thousand of transactions.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Crypto ledger experience required

Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Own the monthly and yearly accounting for our clients.
- Lead client onboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and clear expectations.
- Manage client relationships by handling inquiries, addressing concerns, and delivering consistent communication.
- Provide strategic insights to clients, helping them navigate accounting complexities in crypto.
- Preparing and leading client meetings on accounting, advisory and compliance projects related to digital asset accounting systems, tax planning opportunities, tax preparation and the tax implications of various transactions to the organization.
- Coordinating and communicating with client contacts as required to understand the client's business, gather information, and provide accounting and tax-efficient solutions.
Team Leadership
- Train, oversee, and mentor onshore and offshore accounting staff to ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with firm standards.
- Review and approve work prepared by the offshore team, including financial statements, reconciliations, and tax returns.
- Build and refine processes to streamline collaboration between the onshore and offshore teams.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor workload distribution and resource allocation across the team, ensuring efficient operations.
- Develop and implement quality assurance measures to maintain the firm’s high standards.
- Assist in the creation of tax strategies and accounting solutions tailored to clients in the crypto/Web3 space.
- Review and approve financial deliverables with accuracy and timeliness
Technical Accounting
- Manage and reconcile complex cryptocurrency portfolios with high transaction volumes (hundreds of thousands of transactions, multi-wallet setups).
- Manage accounting for complex companies as assigned by management across various accounting systems including financial statement preparation and month-end reporting
- Ensure data integrity through accurate transaction coding and reconciliation.
- Trace client transactions through public ledgers/blockchain.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and regulatory changes in cryptocurrency.

Additional Information:
We believe in finding the best fit for both our team and new hires. This role will include a two-month work trial on a contractor basis. During this time, you will fully engage with your responsibilities and our team. Upon successful completion, the role transitions to full-time employment with access to our competitive benefits package

Due to our firm’s rapid growth and the dynamic nature of the cryptocurrency and Web3 industry, the role will require flexibility and a willingness to commit to longer hours during peak periods. This includes tax season and other high-demand times throughout the year.
