Engineering at SuperRare Labs:

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer who will design, build, optimize, and document our internal and public-facing APIs. Our engineering team is composed of web, mobile, data, dev ops, and protocol groups that work together to bring a world-class experience for our users. We strive to be more than the sum of our individual parts, and are driven by our core values: candor, autonomy, and communication. We are an all-remote company, but prefer that you have availability during US work hours EST to facilitate better collaboration with your core team. This role will report to the Director of Engineering.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and mobile engineers to create multi-platform APIs (web, iOS, Android)
• Design and expose data models across services and applications
• Create the public-facing API to enable a community of creators to build on top of our platform
• Define best practices around API design, implementation, and documentation for our engineering organization
• Contribute to the overall system architecture and culture of engineering excellence at SuperRare

What you have:

• Excellent communication skills
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in JavaScript/Node.js, Express, HTTP, and RESTful APIs
• Experience modeling data in both relational and NoSQL/document-based data stores such as PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and Redis
• A strong desire to leverage your technical talents to empower others throughout the world

SuperRare powers / bonus points if you can demonstrate:

• Prior experience documenting and maintaining a public-facing API
• Past work diagnosing and optimizing database queries
• Interest or prior experience with functional programming
• Personal or professional blockchain/Ethereum/web3 -based projects
• Experience with Haskell
