To ensure effective collaboration and seamless communication across our global team, all candidates must be available to overlap with the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone for at least 3 hours during regular business hours. This requirement is essential for maintaining efficient workflow, participating in team meetings, and facilitating timely responses to customer inquiries and internal requests.
About the Role
As our Business Development Specialist, you will be instrumental in driving lead generation, sales, and business growth, playing a critical role in our market expansion and customer engagement. Collaborating with our technical and leadership teams, you will engage with clients, identify opportunities, and contribute to product and market strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Sales: Inbound and outbound lead generation, following up with leads across all channels (e.g., Discord, Telegram, Twitter).
- Portfolio/Lead Management: Managing a complex pipeline with businesses, CEO/CTO engagements, and qualifying needs to match our capabilities.
- Market Sensing: Using your technical background to sense high signal/low noise and qualify leads for our product.
- Product Collaboration: Understand and summarize product and market signals, with responsibilities split across 70% Sales, 15% Solutions, and 15% Product involvement.
- Communication Tools Management: Participate in the selection of CRM and other tools, such as Notion, Slack, and Telegram.
- Solutions Architecture: Synthesize innovative solutions for clients based on the RISC Zero product suite.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:

Qualifications:
- Experience in business development, preferably in a startup or tech environment.
- Technical background or understanding of cryptographic solutions and/or In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organization skills
