Tasks

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in financial applications and web3 applications and a deep understanding of security practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and deploying financial software solutions in cloud environments, particularly with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and Azure. You will be joining a team of 15 (10 with technical background and 1 part-time DevOps) with a live product with over 80,000 users already.

You will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying and updating financial applications with a focus on security and compliance.
  • Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and vulnerability management, to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of financial data.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve application reliability and availability.
  • Work closely with security teams to conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and compliance assessments for financial applications.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of system failures or security breaches.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and financial services to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

We do not focus on the time you have spent sitting in the lecture halls of this world but we want to understand what makes you feel comfortable, extraordinarily motivated and suitable to take over this position.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with financial applications, preferably in a DevOps or infrastructure role.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, especially in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, with a focus on infrastructure as code and serverless architectures.
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
